Prototype & Sample Team

Charlotte Pierce

 

Charlotte Pierce has over 42 years of experience in various levels of the construction of sewn products for the military and commercial markets. Products include, but are not limited to, shirts, skirts, dresses, FR coveralls, and pants. She worked twelve years at Oxford Industries (Shirt Division) with positions as a Machine Operator, Quality Control Inspector, Training Instructor, Supervisor, and Industrial Engineer. Charlotte worked almost three years with The Marena Group as a Production Manager, manufacturing compression garments for the medical industry. 

 

She worked at Clemson Apparel Research for 23 years as a Production Manager/Engineer Associate, working with the military services and commercial companies on numerous projects. 

 

Charlotte oversees all aspects of prototyping and first samples at APaDS. She works closely with Pattern Making to create prototype garments to determine sizing and fit, cost effective methods, cut, and sew procedures.  Charlotte is in charge of our marker plotting service offered to large and small manufactures.

 

Education/Training: Graduate of Montgomery County High School, Southern Technical Institute—Apparel Engineering, Emanuel County Junior College—Apparel Engineering, Avraham Y. Goldratt Institute—Academic Jonah, General Sewing Data Certification School—Costing/Rate Setting Program, limited experience in Accumark CAD systems.
